The project funded by the Department for Equal Opportunities (notice n.4/2009) has implemented assistance programs provided for by art. 13 of Law 228/2003 aimed at ensuring, on a transitional basis, the victims of trafficking and reduction or maintenance in slavery (victims of the crimes foreseen by articles 600 and 601 of the p.c.), adequate conditions of accommodation, food and health care, suitable for their physical and psychic recovery. The reference target of the LUCE project is represented essentially by people who want to escape violence and sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, begging, illegal activities (clandestine landings). The same has provided for the possibility to harbour ten single women or mothers with dependent children, and two men inserted in a different structure, for the time necessary to carry out specific interventions aimed at ensuring conditions of food, lodging and health care, quantifiable in about three months.
