The project funded by the Department for Equal Opportunities (notice n. 9 of 4 February 2008) has implemented the protection programs aimed at ensuring a path of assistance and protection, including the activity to obtain the special residence permit referred to ex art. 18 of “Testo Unico” on Immigration for victims who wish to escape the violence and the conditioning of people engaged in the trafficking of human beings for exploitation purposes.

The project has been implemented in several phases:

• First contact activities;
• Housing reception;
• Protection (health, psychological, legal and various advice);
• Activities aimed at obtaining the residence permit pursuant to ex art. 18;
• Training (literacy, information technology, etc. and professional training courses);
• Activities related to social-work inclusion (job grants).
