RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN REFUGEE STATUS SYSTEM AND TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

Given the rapid growth in cases of trafficking and serious exploitation among the asylum seekers, the Anti-Trafficking Plan provides that the Department for Equal Opportunities will link up with the Ministry of the Interior and other competent ministries in order to:
promote and strengthen the integrated system of prevention, to contrast and protect the victims, with particular attention to the link between the protection system for applicants/international protection holders and the protection system for victims of trafficking, pursuant the Art. 10 of Legislative Decree n.24/2014.
